Volunteering, students and work experience
Work Experience
- We welcome local students to undertake their work experience at Dorking Nursery School.
- We can offer students an insight into what working in an early years setting is all about.
- Students will be working alongside experienced and qualified early years teachers and practitioners and fully supported throughout the day.
- Students who are interested, are invited to contact the office to arrange a time for an informal interview and visit with the Headteacher.
- We tend to prioritise students who are attending local secondary schools, The Ashcombe and The Priory.
Students
- We host students who are studying at local colleges and need placements as part of their training.
- We work with local colleges, such as Reigate College, East Surrey College and Collyer's College.
- We can offer students the experience working alongside qualified early years teachers and practitioners and fully supported throughout the day.
- We can offer expert mentoring in an outstanding setting.
Volunteering
- There are a variety of volunteering opportunities at Dorking Nursery School, from working with the children, grounds maintenance, being a Governor and Duke of Edinburgh Award.
- We are keen to hear from anyone who would like to explore volunteering opportunities and can commit to a regular time to work with us.
